Day 13 Helpful material

    I still go back to all the Sarno books even though a lot of his work has been updated/revised, and the oxygen theory disproven. The only one I haven't read is his very first one, Mind Over Back Pain, just because that's before even he had his own theories refined.

    My other favorite is Steve O's The Great Pain Deception. While he admits now that he was probably a bit too aggressive in his approach, I took to his process of just continuing to exercise despite the pain, even if it took longer than he liked. The newer books just don't speak to me as much as the OGs. While I'm sure there is much truth to the neuroplastic science, I stick more to the emotional theories behind pain for now while still allowing myself to read the newer books and consider the ideas.
