So at the recommendation of JanAtheCPA, I decided to pick up Hope and Help for Your Nerves, which has felt like the first book I've read that has actually caused a physical change in me.

My two major symptoms have been stomach discomfort (IBS-like, in some ways, where it just feels off and bloated), as well as fatigue. While the book didn't alleviate my fatigue, reading the section about stomach feelings actually seemed to make the feeling in my stomach go away, or at least insignificant- the Facing, Accepting, Floating, and Letting Time Pass caused the feeling to go away, whereas normally I have to shift position or put pressure on my stomach to make it go away.

While I believe in TMS, I do still have some doubts about whether my fatigue is caused by it. But reading this, I felt like it was more likely that the origin of everything that I've been feeling could be psychological.

I haven't finished the book, but look forward to it. I've read some ~5 or so books on TMS and related ideas thus far, including Sarno's The Mindbody Prescription, and have found this to be the most effective so far. So thanks, JanAtheCPA!

Same! This book changed everything for me! And explained so much about things I’ve felt my whole life.
