Dr. Martin Seligman, psychologist and former President of the American Psychological Association, has been around a long time. Here's a recent interview he gave, with a condensed version of his latest thoughts about how and why we're wired to be negative - and what we can do about it. I particularly liked his characterization of homo sapiens as more like homo prospectus - fascinating!
