Finding it hard to believe .....

I do believe in tms , i believe that my case is most likely that , i believe the people who say that they had recovered from it . What im finding it hard to believe in is that you can cure yourself by writing a journal .Dredging up anger and upset every day , even on days when you dont feel bad in your spirits makes me feel ill . Im finding it hard to believe that its good for me and that it will make the head sensations go .

I think i have had lots of long periods of tms symptoms in my life . Though its only know i can see that they have been tms because ive only just come across the term . All of the problems did eventually go away but not through me being aware that it was tms .

I feel my trying to sort it out makes my symptoms feel worse and like im fighting with it .

Nelle,

Take heart, there are many people who heal without journaling. It is only one tool out of many and is in no way essential. Below is a link that may help you see the connection between journaling and emotions and how it can be profoundly healing.

The truth is it is not necessary at all to dredge up bad memories and awful feelings. Here is a great post by Steve Ozanich on the subject of unearthing the mother lode:

Have a read and let us know what you think.

Doing psycho-archeology is not necessary--you just need to have "confidence", "faith", "belief"--take your pick--in Dr. Sarno's TMS THEORY! When in pain & doubt, curl up with a TMS book for a booster shot of TMS KNOWLEDGE PENICILLIN.

g'luck!
