Feeling at a loss constantly getting sick

This year has by far been the most I’ve gotten sick. It’s really affecting my mental health and social life constantly getting sick. It doesn’t help that my husband is a teacher and brings home so many germs and viruses, but even on top of that I’ve gotten sicker than he has this year. Now currently I’ve been sick on and off for three weeks now and it just keeps coming back after I think I’m getting better.

Has anyone had any luck with TMS/mind body work for this? I do struggle with the belief that I have a “weaker” immune system. When my husband gets me sick, I catch it far worse than him and it lasts longer for me.

I obviously know viruses are real and not TMS, but I guess I’m wondering if working on it with a TMS mindset can help me strengthen my immune system by being less stressed to prevent it more. Would be curious to see what people think.

(Assuming you’ve been cleared by a doctor)

    100% it WILL help.

For many of us our issue at its core is that we get stuck in perpetual fight or flight. We get increased levels of cortisol which is going to suppress the immune system, less circulating white blood cells lower production of antibodies to help fight off infections. Once we address the stressors and get out of fight or flight our immune system can regulate. I also have gotten sick way more often this past 1.5 years.

it’s a tough thing because our symptoms stress us out, and then getting sick adds more stress, and then you start stress worrying about getting sick again, overthinking hygiene and trying to prevent catching something which further fuels fear.
