This is an excellent recovery story written by Dr. Paul Garner who developed long Covid. He admits, he was not a person who dealt with psychological issues in the past, but developed extreme guilt and fear of harming others by being infected with Covid 19 on the job. Dr. Garner seemed to be able to deal well with the stress of being a doctor, but the extreme guilt, seemed to send him on a spiral. It's important to recognize that sometimes, even those who seem to have had a good handle on life can still develop symptoms.

This happened to me too. Fear of Covid for so long got me hypersensitive by the time I finally got it, and more symptoms came as a result.

    Dr. Garner says:
“I believed the symptoms were the result of the brain body regulatory systems being dysregulated from being on high alert for too long; and I believed that what I thought, what my expectations were, and how I managed myself with my thoughts, my activities, my conversations, all influenced my symptoms.”

It’s cool, as a doctor, he defied the medical world’s opinion, and basically discovered the MindBody connection himself and healed himself.
