Just out of interest, does anyone else have thoughts that no one else’s TMS could possibly be this bad (i then feel guilty for those thoughts…!)

but sometimes I’m like, surely no one else has 24/7 constant pain in one spot with all these scary medicalised terms and gets through it… then I realise it’s my TMS brain cause that’s literally all TMS is

    Pretty common!
There's also the: nobody has the same symptoms I have (which, isn't true but many people just don't describe them the same way or say, report them on a forum like this one).
Nobody has as many panic attacks as me.
Nobody has as much anxiety as me.
Nobody suffers as much as me.

Yep, it's all your mind trying to keep you small and inside the TMS box.
I had TERRIBLE symptoms 24/7 pain (now it's just 24/7 sensations; not always pain), and at the same time at least 35 (many more, but who's counting?) symptoms. It is best to re-direct the mind away from these thoughts. I kept reminding myself not all thoughts are truth and it is not YOU but the TMS mechanism feeding the thoughts (helps remove guilt). You need to slowly begin separating the YOU from the expectations of "others" (eg. I should not feel sensations, I should not have this kind of emotions, I should feel guilty or shame for my predicament). These things are not YOU.
You are your core beliefs, you are your interests, your spirit, or even just simply "nothing" but being present on this earth. That is the YOU. Focus on finding the you (which is very much what the SEP is all about) again and shine your light on that very brightly.
This is why I often recommend METTA style of meditation. It clearly delineates the "you" and the "others" - it's also a style of meditation which fits in very well within many faith traditions although derived from the Buddhists https://www.mettainstitute.org/mettameditation.html This really helped me both have a deeper connection with myself, with self-compassion, forgiveness and a reminder of who I am in the universe.

Yeah, it's part of the TMS mechanism. I suggest reading Success Stories or watching videos of people who have overcome TMS. Sometimes I can't believe how bad others had it and still recovered, especially the people with a CRPS diagnosis. The stories are truly inspirational and humbling. Yes, I had severe pain and suffered, but so many others had it worse.
