I wouldn't necessarily regret it - once you know about TMS, the risk of reading too much into scan results diminishes. Also, what if they found something more sinister? I bet you wouldn't be regretting it if that were the case. Once you know about TMS, it's always best to know where you stand in my opinion.
Plenty of people with osteoarthritis (in fact, even some with severe x-ray changes) have no pain whatsoever, and then some people have heaps of pain with minimal findings. It's not really a reliable indicator of what is going on from a pain perspective - try not to read too much into it and focus on other indictors
