After my second surgery, the one to remove the metal work from my foot, when the surgeon cleared me to start walking and going to physiotherapy he told me there was a high chance of developing arthritis.

He also told me that I would get 98% or more movement back, he said I would only noticed the missing 2% if I was a professional athlete.

I believe what was worse was my dad saying, "well that's it, you're gonna have pain and problems in that foot for the rest of your life".

And that's what is stressing me out, I have these repetitive thoughts circling in my head:
    - "I've ruined my body, it was perfect and now it's not"
    - "It's only going to get worse from here"
    - I look at elderly people and think "well, by the time I'm their age I'm going to have a lot of pain in my foot"
    - "How am I going to raise children, that's 18 years of raising a child and I'm going to do it all with pain in my foot"

    I'm catastrophising a lot.
