I have had chronic pain via migraines since I was four (I am 67 now). I have actually been migraine free for three years through these techniques without knowing I was doing them. However 18 months ago I developed shoulder pain which has now spread to my stems, back, pelvis, etc and hops around and is terrible and better for what appeared for no reason. At the time this was occurring I was having marital problems and a large dose of poor self esteem. I was introduced to John Sarno’s book six months ago and though my recovery has been sporadic, I feel I am on the way to recovery. I am a perfectionist and have sabotaged my recovery by trying too hard and getting discouraged. I’ve finally realized this since discovering tmswiki and symptomatic.me. Thankfully!!! I’m on day zero but find great hope in this program. Thank you!

Welcome!! We are glad you are here! The fact that you have seen your pain go away at times shows you will get better. The SEP gives you some great guidance on learning more about TMS and journaling!
