Something in my recovery has just clicked.... I'm trying to be less anxious with the goal to get out of pain and when my symptoms lower I start doing all the things that make me anxious.

So I'm reframing all of my TMS work... it's not to get out of pain, it's to:

    - love myself more
    - respect my body
    - teach myself safety
    - maintain my boundaries

The get out of pain part should be regardless of the above.

100% agree with this, I am finding the same thing out the hard way this week where I got to a much better place through doing all of the above consistently, and then once I was there thought “ok I’m good” and went straight back (somewhat unconsciously) to hating myself and distracting/overstimulating myself to avoid anything I didn’t want to deal with. And here we are again with anxiety and symptoms. I guess I’m having to learn over and over that there’s no quick fix here, the new habits have to stick first.
