Goodness me am I doing this again. Over the years I have struggled with and overcome so many TMS incidents but it never seems to get any easier. I think it has popped up again as I have been through a prolonged period of stressful situations and even though I think it probably is TMS I still go through the same thought process - what if it isn’t. My neck has compressed disks due to the aging process and a nerve is being pinched causing the most hideous itching in my forearms, it’s intermittent and comes with anxiety around the “what if it never gets better” or “what if it gets worse and then never gets better”. Then the googling begins looking for success stories for this complaint only to be met with the bell of doom response “for some this is a life long condition”.
Over the last 30 years I have had so many conditions that are life long for some people and I have managed to overcome them. I really hope there is someone out there that can say “I am old too, I had this and now it’s gone; it was TMS all along” because I do wonder if age related disk degeneration and this terrible nerve related itching is going to be a challenge for a while???
