    Hello,

I’ve been a bit frustrated with the TMS YouTube channels because I feel like the titles of the videos are like “you’ll never heal unless you do this” or something along the lines of click bait. I realize you need somewhat of a clickbait title to get people to watch your videos but when you watch one video, The YouTube Algorithm just floods your feed with TMS coaches/videos. Obviously you want to reduce just scrolling through YouTube excessively but it’s almost as if the titles of the videos are so enticing because you feel like everyone/coaches say a different thing and you could miss something.

As of right now, I was doing EFT as more of an allowing tool but then I hear like the tools won’t get you better, etc. however, I’m not using the tools to think I’ll just magically heal from them. I’m using them on a daily basis consistently and trying to stay on schedule. It just helps me start the day out better.

I also then see a video where someone had great success with a vagus nerve stimulator but then others say don’t use one because you’re trying to fix the problem. However, the way I see it is you are using the tool to calm down and then be able to utilize the allowing method than it’s okay. I could be wrong though. I have no clue lol

I am frustrated with pretty much the entirety of the modern internet (especially social media) that is so hyper focused on clicks and money that they will (as you point out) rely on preying on peoples’ fears to get them to watch their crap content.

I’m very much over all of it.

My experience is that it’s best to stick to the basics. A lot of people tend to make TMS more complicated than it actually is (so do I sometimes) - which leads to pressure and fear.

When it comes to fear, one of my worst triggers are people commenting negatively about TMS. “It doesn’t work”, “it’s a scam”, “you’re doing it wrong” etc. NO! Everyone needs to find their own way of healing. So what might be wrong for you, might be the right tool for me.

I have two favorite channels. No nonsense, clear, concise and short. One offers some techniques to try, and also has a semi-weekly longer podcast that I love because it's very personal without over explaining anything - it's a great way to hear about the work in context.
There's no need to hop or search around for answers or fixes. Find the "thing" that resonates with you and watch it. If nothing resonates, then of course don't even bother.
Your best bet is always to keep one of Sarno's books, and quite possibly a book by Claire Weekes by your side. I need to go buy a few more copies of each. I keep giving them away to our local Veteran's housing, both authors are in high demand there!

I already know what they say. On all channels. It's like listening to statements like:"The water is wet." No kidding...

Sarno and Weekes, they helped me, yes.

If the video isn't recommended on this forum, or if it isn't on the dedicated channel of a vetted TMS coach or other well-known TMS professional, I would steer clear. Or avoid YouTube altogether which is my choice. Podcasts are my go-to source for great TMS content, and only via a dedicated podcast app where I will get the content I subscribe to and only that content (eg, I avoid using my music service for podcasts, because of the annoying algorithmic feeds along with sub-optimal podcast features).

There are plenty of opportunities to find new legitimate content by paying attention to the latest posts right here. The YouTube algorithm is not a reliable source, and as you are discovering, is often not even a legitimate source.
