I won an all expense paid trip to a big event for this long weekend. I was pumped but filled with a ton of anxiety due to severe left buttock pain for the past year. I was worried I wouldn't be able to make the most of it. Also, I'm 6 months pregnant. Currently, sitting is excruciating and standing/walking gets worse the longer I do it. Today is day 25 that I've been following SEP and I have had some good moments which have made the pain inconsistent. I swim, ride my horse and bike through the pain. I also have a very active/physical job. The evenings are tough for me but I get by... day by day.
Anyway, leading up to today I was anxious because I wanted to make the most of this trip (don't get a lot of vacation time normally). Obviously the pain increased due to this but I did my best to work out of it. The plane ride was excruciating!!!! The discomfort was so extreme I became nauseous and had an extremely hard time getting through it( not due to pregnancy!).One thing I did do was remain as positive as possible, after the plane ride I rested for a bit and then proceeded with my day and went to the event and acted as much as a normal person as possible.
The pain is still severe, remaining positive and pushing through the pain hasn't deminished yet but I'm going to keep pushing through...
Any insights on how to get through those severe episodes when you can't even focus on your breathing would be appreciated! I have to get back on a plan in 3 days!!( another cause of anxiety and worry!!!).

Hi, Kraynor. Try not to pressure yourself to heal from pain and anxiety. Be proud of yourself for taking the trip and enduring the pain. That takes a lot of courage. I think you meant that you need to get back on a plane in three days. Just tell yourself it's "a piece of cake." You will make it back home safely and then can relax and look back on a trip that had you enjoyed and gave you some inner strength. Swimming, riding a horse, and bike riding are wonderful activities... Look forward to being active when you get back home.
