A very interesting video on understanding pain

Here's is a very interesting video from Australia discussing neuroplasticity, perception of pain, meaning of pain, CRPS, phantom pain, mindfulness, how the brain perceives pain & how various ppl deal with pain in different ways. Great insight from experts as well as well as from ppl who r suffering from pain. Very informative. Really worth a watch.

Thanks, Mala, for sharing this wonderful video from Down Under on pain.

I watched a video recently on how the Australian Olympic champion Maury Rose used mindfulness to win his gold medals.
He said other swimmers were faster than he, but mindfulness, living in the present moment and really thinking about every arm and leg stroke got him to the finish line faster than the others.

Yes Walt mindfulness was mentioned a few times & it has been shown that it really works .

Also of interest was the idea of how different ppl perceive pain differently depending on the meaning they attribute to the pain. The more power u give it, the more it affects yr life which ties in with Dr Sarnos advice to ignore the pain & resume normal activities.
