  • My Story

    I have had TMS my whole life on and off. In 2017, I learned about Sarno. Been on the forum since 2024. Since joining the forum I’ve gone from 16 symptoms to four. But I’m not out of the woods yet. My symptoms are not easy to live with. I need help to walk, and I can’t fully use my hands because they are curled up. (My right hand is better than my left, thank God!) Most of my really bad symptoms kicked in after I had Covid. I’ve had severe anxiety my whole life, with a history of child abuse. But somehow, I’m still here! Some days I’m very happy. This is good news because a year ago I was in the deepest darkest hole ever. Little by little, I believe I’m going to get better.       Woke up today with a case of “I don’t care.” I just don’t care anymore if I have TMS. Got places to go, people to see, things to do!

      Got hair done yesterday. Long walk in. Didn’t do so well. Fighting the urge to get discouraged; at least my hair looks good! 3x out this wk!

      3 ways to talk to your TMS brain: thinking, speaking and doing. Doing is the best way to get its attention. Do something scary.

      This battle is mental! Exercise disciplines your mind. You can use that discipline to get yourself free. Face pain; Do it anyway.

      Did 15 min. standing; plus chair workout. Haven’t set a timer and stood in awhile. Need to get back to this! I used to be at 23 min.

      I’ve progressed to chair yoga from bed yoga. Bed yoga got too easy. Getting sore now and then but hanging in there.
