I have struggled with back pain for about 15 years. In 2012 I was told to read Dr.Sarno's book; Healing Back Pain by a Neurologist. I didn't even finish the book and was pain free within weeks. In December of 2016 I suffered a setback. I'd been training for a marathon and was doing some trail running in the Salinas river bed. Pain in my right lower back /hip so that I could not run and was limping to walk. I assumed I had caused a repetitive use injury but it has gotten better and worse and back and forth with no reasonable, logical explanation. I am confident that it isn't my back because I can do my regular weight lifting routine which includes stiff leg deadlifts and lots of squats and lunges. Exercises that would be very painful to a damaged back. The only explanation is TMS has returned. This time I just finished reading the book and my symptoms have already started to migrate to my shoulder. I began the Structured Educational Program and plowed through the Week 0 material. I am very grateful for your help.
