Throat/voice Pain related to an action, going round in circles!

HI yeah I'm still struggling with it 9 years later, but have made progress through a mixture of the psychosomatic stuff - TMS, Sarno, Alan Gordon, DR Schubiner, etc. I'd reccomend reading all of their books and listening to the podcasts. The other part of it has been re learning to use my...

Opiates and relief (not during but the day after!)

Thanks, glad to hear you made progress with it. Sadly I am unable to talk most days at all, so its nearly impossible not to think about it as its very hard to navigate life. But I have come to accept it much more than previous years, my new solitaire life, but it doesnt seem to make any change...

Opiates and relief (not during but the day after!)

Hi everyone, its been a while since I've been here. I've had substantial pain and tension when using my voice for 6.5 years, and still have to limit the amount I speak daily, often to not speaking at all. Its really turned my life upside down, and although I believe a huge portion of it is TMS...

Crohn's Disease & TMS - Inflammation vs. Oxygen Deprivation

Thanks for the update, wow thats amazing you managed to make such progress with pain. I read that you had huge relief with pain a long while back with the TMS approach, but then lost your faith in it a bit, understandably. I know you're chrohns started when you were very young. Do you believe...

    Surgery for TMS

Great news, I just asked something in a really old thread. But how are you doing now with your IBD?

Crohn's Disease & TMS - Inflammation vs. Oxygen Deprivation

Hi Eightball, not sure if you'll read this, but I was reading your posts and feeling for you and what you were going through, and how frustrating it can be to be told its TMS, especially when you have something like Chrohns, which is a bit beyond the usual remit of TMS. I was just wondering if...

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

I had a gastro endoscopy as well as many normal endoscopies. The gastro one they looked for a hiatal hernia. Its worth doing this to check if you can

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

I often feel generally unwell, especially when I'm in pain, I think thats fairly normal. Try not to worry about cancer or anything if you've had tests. The endoscopies they do to look at your vocal cords dont do any damage. They put it up the nose, I did it without any numbing, and it was fine

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

I really believe you can. If you can see a therapist and work on the anxiety, Im sure you can. People live fulfilling lives when they can't get out of bed, and are debilitated by pain. I'm sure you can get through is. Good luck

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

Check your tonsils for tonsil stone, look on google to see what they are. They can smell terrible, its a build up of old debri that stays in little pits in your tonsils. You can squeeze them out, and it smells awful! I dont know if thats what happened, but worth looking

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

Yes you don't have symptoms at night, your throat looks quite healthy, the pain came suddenly out of nowhere. They can't find anything wrong. You have a history of anxiety and other chronic issues. All of this suggests that your pain is a mind body disorder. (TMS) I don't believe you will have...

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

Honestly I've asked to look in so many peoples throats over the past 4 years to see how they compare to mine, and yours looks as healthy as most of them! A bit of redness is not unusual, but in your photo it looks very normal. Maybe you are talking about the red patches on the side, I also have...

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

Hey, your throat doesn't look as bad as mine and I've seen 13 Ent doctors! The best ones in England, had 4 endoscopies and a gastroscopy. LPR is one of the most overdiagnosed things in the world now, if you have throat pain thats what they say. Your throat looks very healthy to me, I dont see...

Can’t anymore am about to kill my self

Have you had tests done for LPR/silent reflux? Or is it just that you have pain in your throat? I thought I had LPR for years, thats what everyone said. It turns out I dont
