    Nerve Pain Face Trigeminal Nerves

I understand 100% I’ve had filling and cleanings done in “that” area with minimal after effects. Wishing you the best for tomorrow.

It’s still up and down but it’s definitely TMS. I have a solid evidence list and a long list of “rescue reminders” - days that it feels 90-95% improved. I refer to those lists a lot as well as the recovery success stories I’ve managed to find. How are you?

Sorry. Just seeing this now. It’s been up and down for various reasons. I had quite a few decent weeks face wise when my brain was preoccupied with another symptom, but as soon as that symptom was dealt with, the face thing went nuts! So I’m back to struggling with the fear. How are you?

    Nerve Pain Face Trigeminal Nerves

Hi Aria. Same here. I’m not popping into the forum too often. I’ve started working via Zoom with a Pain Reprocessing Therapist from Alan Gordon’s centre and I’m very slowly learning how to feel safe with body sensations and emotions. The only goal I have is to try to decrease the fear and...

Stuck on trigeminal nerve damage diagnosis. Need wisdom.

Thank you. I went thru it all after watching your interview. I go back to it every so often and I’ve shared the link on Twitter when I’ve seen people post about their CRPS. It’s an invaluable resource!

Skylark, you have no idea how much your post resonated! Emotionally, it’s been very difficult because this thing came back with a vengeance after about 4 months of bliss. It’s been 2 years straight and I was getting pretty depressed and desperate that this was it. At one point last year, it...

Thank you. I did find Plum when I first joined and I revisit her story often for inspiration. I also get much inspiration from you and Miffybunny as well as the trigeminal neuropathy is spreading from original injury site and is acting a bit like CRPS even though that’s not what it is. I’ve...

This “face thing” has definitely put me on some kind of spiritual path. I’m very logical, practical, rigid thinker and rules-based (the quintessential TMS personality) and not hippy dippy either but this has opened me up. I’ve had the same conversation with my trigeminal neuropathy and the most...

    Nerve Pain Face Trigeminal Nerves

I’m struggling with the idea that this flare up has been going on for two years, so it’s both the pain and the anxiety. I’m particularly stuck on comparing it to the 4 months of bliss (despite the SI joint pain) in winter 2020 when I thought it was healed. It’s like psychological warfare. But...

    Nerve Pain Face Trigeminal Nerves

Hi Polly. No apologies necessary. Thank you for your reply. I’m so happy to hear that things are better! I’m struggling a bit. I’m now off all meds even my go-to benzo that I’ve used to calm the anxiety and subsequently the increased flare ups by end of each day. But I’m determined and...

Hi Polly Thank you so much for your words of wisdom and encouragement. As I said to the Centre’s intake worker, my head has grasped TMS, but it hasn’t reached my heart yet, so Thank you for that quote from Nicole. I need to revisit her and borrow my faith from you and the many others who’ve...

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. I have Dr. Mate’s book ad well as The Body Keeps the Score. I’ve been thru many psychotherapy sessions to deal with childhood trauma and difficult adulthood situations. Have done lots of journaling and Dr. Schubiner’s Unlearn Your Pain...
