Day 8 Progress Report - a lot less pain!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate them so much. I'll have to check out his podcast, it sounds very beneficial. :) I finally have hope and I've made tremendous progress, my neck often feels completely back to normal now which makes me laugh with glee several times a day...

My Progress Record in the Structure Educational Program

I don't believe swollen lymph nodes without pain is a usual symptom of TMS, that would be a good thing to get checked out as you're doing, but I know fatigue can be.

    Day 1 My Day 1

Hi baseyg, That's amazing that the book healed your husband's pain in a week! I think the biggest way the books tend to heal people is that it eases the fear around pain, and the fear around pain is the biggest reason why pain serves as a distraction. No fear, no distraction, no reason for the...

Day 8 Progress Report - a lot less pain!

I've been diving deep into my past and my emotions. My pain flared up one day really bad, but eased up by night and has been okay since. The pain that started in my neck since May lessened by a lot, some days I'm completely pain free, but it moved to my right shoulder blade. It feels like a...

    A couple more questions...

Have you been able to ease that pain now that you're aware it's TMS? Have you found relief?

    Upper back TMS

From what I've seen, it seems like TMS seems to really present itself around your early 20s. Sometimes a little sooner (late teens) sometimes a little later (late 20s, early 30s) so it makes sense for your symptoms to start then, but I'm new to this world so take that with a grain of salt lol. I...

    Upper back TMS

Yes, mine started in my neck and since I started challenging the TMS and working the program, it's moved to encompass my right shoulder blade and occasionally my entire upper back/shoulder area. My shoulders are also painful and tender. Totally feel you.

    A couple more questions...

I was also wondering two other things... A) Did going on an anti-depressant like Prozac help with your pain? B) What age were you when you started having TMS symptoms?

How do you deal with the uncertainty?

I think I've convinced myself I'm experiencing TMS. Ever since I read Healing Back Pain, I have pain-free times with my neck, even pain-free days. It's been about two, maybe three weeks, but the pain comes and goes still. It'll be completely gone, and then it will return. It will move to my...

Unable to accept new symptoms as TMS

I can't say anything about dry eyes/mouth as I don't experience that, but I wanted to say congratulations for moving past AS and allodynia and the tingling hands and feet. If you can move past all of those and live symptom-free, I'm sure the dry eyes and mouth will go away, too. Rooting for you.
