I have been suffering from chronic hip, back, shoulder and neck pain for over seven years now. I reached a real low until an osteopath I had been seeing told me that I had to find what was within me to cope with the pain and take responsibility for my own healing. I started to get better because I had some feeling I was in control, but I was still having flare ups almost weekly. I came across Dr Sarno's work through the Pain Psychology Centre feed on Facebook. It's been four weeks since I started the program. In that time the pain has gotten worse, shifted and teased me, but I've stuck to it and I'm doing strenuous exercise and travel that would have put bed on strong pain killers just five to six weeks before (yes, it did happen). More than that I'm 95% pain free. I only just came across TMS Wiki and I'm starting the program again. Why? because what perpetuates any small pain I experience now is fear and expectation that something I'm doing will cause it even when I've had evidence to the contrary bith in the past four weeks and sometimes over the past seven years.
