    Shoulder shoulder shoulder

@Cactusflower. @Cactusflower. You make a fantastic point and one is the well taken, and thanks so much for commenting on my post, I learn so much from everyone on here. Your absolutely right, in my case it likely is a result of the combination of 'crappy ' life stuff combined with overall...

    Shoulder shoulder shoulder

@Baseball65 I really like what you have to say on this subject. My shoulder pain has actually gotten worse, though I haven't stopped working out. The funny thing is, working out (or the exercises I do, which do involve the shoulder) don't really bother it. It is lifting my arm over my head that...

    Shoulder shoulder shoulder

Hi guys, Long time TMS'er here. I am dealing with yet another exciting symptom to add to my collection, incredibly strange and painful shoulder pain. I know there are tons of different types of shoulder pain, mine actually has a clinical diagnosis (according to Dr. Google), shoulder impingement...

I chose my next symptom during a flare up and it worked!

Yes, I agree, it ALWAYS recedes, it is your nervous system saying "will this work? How about this? This?" It's such a game and it is amazing how often I fall for it. It's also hilarious how symptoms that I am totally over will cycle back through in like a 5 years and get me again!

I chose my next symptom during a flare up and it worked!

Hi everyone, Long time TMSer here. I had a funny thing happen to me recently that I would like to share involving symptoms during a large 'symptom flare'. I've really been going through it lately with lots of heavy life stuff, and I of course started into a major symptom flare, pain in the...

The heat IS making your TMS worse

Thank you for this! My TMS is off the charts and I couldn’t figure it out, but the heat is extreme right now in southern Oregon and the fires are also burning very near us. I already feel better just reading this.

    fluid in the knee

Brilliant! I just know this has to be it. Thank you so much for sharing that, the swelling is what I have been really hung up on. So on we go, TMS soldiers on!

    fluid in the knee

Hi again Baseball and thanks so much for your reply. I haven’t been at this long, though I had back pain for 15 years and of course that’s gone and now I have this. Go figure. I am in the middle of a divorce and we have a child and so my emotions all over the place. Just for confirmation that...

    fluid in the knee

Also, did you take NSAID’s for any of it?? My wife keeps telling me to take them for my swollen knee but I’m like “why? I need to learn to control this on my own.” But I conflicted on this point….

    fluid in the knee

Hi Baseball, Thanks so much for your response. I am really working on treating this as TMS, in fact I know it has to be (my other knee has now begun hurting also but not as bad). What I am finding is the more I ‘power’ through the worse it hurts. I have heard that it is the fear that keeps...

    fluid in the knee

Hang in there chopper72! I am also hiking on mine, the weird thing I notice about it is twofold. First, when I start hiking the pain moves from the inside of my knee to the knee cap and also occurs in the other knee as well. Second, pain is the most severe it seems when I’m seated, which to me...

    fluid in the knee

Hi Elle! Do you have fluid in the knee is or is it simply swollen? I now have this also, my Dr. doesn’t want to do an MRI as he says stuff like this usually resolves on its own and insurance companies don’t want to pay for the imaging. He says he is 99% sure it is the meniscus but I never...
