  • My Story

I have been in pain for years and have. seen doctors and various alternative health care practitioners. Last year I got knee surgery for a torn meniscus, but no relief. My hip and low back hurt andI have diminished ROM, I can't bend my knees fully. I had gotten to a place of only being able to go for walks or hike with sticks, and that painfully. After reading "Healing Back Pain" I went for a 2.5 hour super strenuous hike up and down a mountain, without sticks and without pain! When pain suggested itself, I firmy told it to go away, it did!, and then I asked myself what I was feeling and tended to that. I even got a cramp in my adductor muscles when i was way out there, alone and it was getting dark. I immediately stop hiking, spoke to my leg and brain and very firmly informed them that this was not an option. I massaged my leg, told it to let go, and it did. It was really quite a magical experience and I now know what is possible. Now the challenge is as I am back in my everyday life, to really solidify my conviction that the pain isn't real, and also to find a way to access my buried emotions. I am afraid that I will lose my focus and just keep living in pain and adjusting my life to my limitations. I'm so grateful for the daily program on this website! Thank you. I hope by interacting with other TMS sufferers I will be able to heal myself.
