  • My Story

Hi, I am glad to finally be a part of the forum.
Before I discovered Tension Myositis Syndrome I suffered multiple falsely disabling conditions, the most problematic being what I believed was plantar fascitis, forcing me to stop being a mural artist and long distance hiker and move with crutches, even a wheel chair at times. I used to write on a blog, here is an article about my TMS recovery journey.

Sadly, being pain free after so many years made space for addictions and mental conditions I thought were under control for decades.
I am hoping to exchange with a lot of people like me, who knows the truth about the mind body syndromes and can support each other. I feel today like this community is the only one I can relate to, that could understand myself.

    Good luck to everyone
    Alisa
