Day 4 The most disheartening thing a doctor has told me

I've actually been thinking a lot about the things doctors have told me about my symptoms recently. One told me that I would be dealing with this for the rest of my life. The pain clinic are constantly telling me that I must restrict myself and hold back from things, whilst also trying to convince me to do things that I don't want to do e.g. trying to rekindle unhealthy friendships just so I can "get out". To be honest, I think the pain management clinic are actually adding to my rage and they don't understand TMS or even consider it. I'm thinking of leaving them.

However, the most disheartening experience with doctors is the constant dismissal and treating me like I don't matter and that there's just nothing that can be done about my pain. They left me feeling extremely hopeless. I am so grateful to myself for not letting that defeat me and discovering TMS and how I can become pain free. I actually cried the day I discovered that I actually won't be stuck like this for the rest of my life.

Isn't it interesting that we ALL have these experiences with the doctors? I'm sorry that you had to go through that on your journey. It's so sad but it helps to know that people on here completely understand. There is no way I could do the SEP by myself-this community has helped so much!
