    Hey folks -

First, thank you so much for the effort that went into the Structured Educational program. I am making good use of it - and somehow sticking with it as crazy busy as I am these days....

The journaling has been very intense, and I hope, productive. I'm surpassed by how many events evoke emotional responses - from childhood as well as more recently. It's a little overwhelming to attempt to track down the specific stressor that may be the root cause of my symptoms (back and neck/voice).

Question: I made an appointment with a TMS doc, but as it is NYC it had to be WAY in advance, and it turns out I cannot go because I have to leave town for work. I am fairly confident that TMS is an accurate diagnosis for me, but do you believe that seeing a TMS specialist is a necessary step towards healing - even to simply reinforce my own self-dianosis?

    Thanks again for your support!

I didn't need it. I just knew once I read tThe Divided Mind. But my life experiences are different from yours. I didn't see Doctors that reinforced te physical problems. My health insurance was so awful I coudn't afford to go. Now I see that as a positive.

Most TMS people don't have access and don't see a TMS doctor. If you have doubts it is a good reinforcement of a TMS diagnoses.

You will do just great without it.
