    Hi all,

I was pretty active on the forum a while ago, but have been busy recently writing books and working as a mind body coach. Here's the link to my original success story post: https://www.tmswiki.org/forum/threads/recovery-from-back-pain-foot-pain-stomach-pain-intolerances-possible-severe-autoimmune-disease.26991/ (Recovery from back pain, foot pain, stomach pain, intolerances, possible severe autoimmune disease)

Through my experience over the past 18+months, I have learned a lot and parts 1 and 2 of my new book, Godmindbody, reflect that. These two parts of my book are currently available free on my website as two blog posts and a pdf. They come to about 23,000 words or 70ish print pages combined. Part 3 will be about Bible prophecy, and isn't finished yet. The book is also not yet available as a kindle ebook or paperback, and when it is, those formats won't be free. Effectively, the content that is currently free on my website is about combining mindbody healing with Christian prayer. That being said, there is plenty of secular TMS information in the book as well.

Read part 1 here or download the full pdf of Godmindbody parts 1 and 2 below or from the website: https://www.robertensor.com/post/godmindbody-a-book-about-tms-and-christianity-part-1

Alternatively, click the link at the end of the part 1 blog post for part 2.

    Thanks. Go for it!

I saw your post earlier about a Holy Grail for TMS, which reminded me of the parable at the start of Godmindbody, itself prompted by rewatching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade...I'd suggest that you begin with the free Godmindbody content, which is more advanced than my earlier TMS work.

Ok, will do! I’m a Christian and have been craving someone to talk about healing from that perspective.

TMS from a Christian perspective is a big part of my job description. Many TMS healings are pretty miraculous and like Christ's miracles they don't rely on drugs, surgery etc. There are good and even great TMS practitioners out there, but ultimately God is the best healer. Jesus understood/understands all of the TMS information and far more; he was on a whole other level, and my goal is to bring as much of that knowledge as I can to TMS world. For example, the power of belief in healing, when he said 'daughter, your faith has made you well' to the woman healed of a haemorrhage, the importance of resuming normal activities, saying 'get up and take your mat and go to your house' to the paralysed man. He also knew all about the role of repressed guilt in sickness, saying 'your sins are forgiven' to the same paralysed man, which healed him then and there. More than any of that however, because Jesus had received the Holy Spirit within his own body, he was able to use the power of God to heal people, so that all they had to do was believe he could do it. The mind is powerful, and it can be used to heal the body, which explains a lot of TMS success stories, but the Spirit of God is far more powerful than the mind. That explains the extraordinary speed and efficiency of Jesus' healings. When I prayed to Jesus to show me the way to heal, shortly afterwards I was recommended Sarno's Healing Back Pain and that worked spectacularly. GMB is the best I can currently do to combine the two approaches, and they are very compatible. These parts of my new book are all about integrating the Spirit of God into the mind and body, partly to heal, hence the title Godmindbody all one word. The core message of the Bible, and the meaning of life in general, is that suffering's deepest purpose is to push us to not only learn the truth but appeal to, and reunite with God, as means of ending the suffering. Having a narrative that imbues the suffering with meaning, and provides a way out of it, not only temporarily, but permanently, is very important, because so many misunderstand suffering and that turns them against God. I'm glad to see that hasn't been the case with you.

    @theacrobat
Amazing! You want to hear something that won’t surprise you? Last night, I prayed to God and said, “Why am I running all around trying to figure out what my subconscious thinks, when You know! Why am I researching TMS healing methods like crazy? Why don’t I just ask You what to do?” And then, voila, this morning, your post, which is right along the lines of this thinking. I call these “God winks” when this happens.

How I found out about TMS and Sarno is also a miracle. In 2017, I had a really bad case of TMS that was making my hands numb. I was terrified because, like you, I’m also a writer, and I wasn’t able to work. I knelt down one day and just begged God to help me. That same day, my sister called me and said that her doctor told her to read The Divided Mind by John Sarno. I immediately read it and knew that it was true. I did what Dr. Sarno said, and I healed within weeks.

Unfortunately, my TMS returned with a vengeance in 2020, and expanded in 2022. I have been taken to the absolute bottom. I’ve been very close to God my entire life, and I’ve had many miraculous things happen to me and many miraculous encounters with God. But nothing beats what I’ve been having with God through this TMS experience. He’s got my full attention. He has stripped me of all my own ambitions and thinking. He’s been closer than I’ve ever felt Him in my entire life, and I’m still growing closer. I would honestly trade everything I’ve been through to have this closeness with Him. (And it has not been easy. I can’t walk right now without assistance.)

My favorite book in the Bible, this year, has been Job (particularly chapts. 38-42). And also all the healing stories in the New Testament. I’ve done so much thinking about what suffering means and also about uniting it to the Cross. There’s more on this topic than the human mind can comprehend. But if we’re curious, God will teach us. And I have been very curious.

That’s where I am, and I am very much looking forward to reading your books. God bless you for your work!

You're right, I'm not surprised that you prayed last night. Job's suffering ended, he was restored when he appealed to God for help and humbled himself before God. There's a limit on how much we can know, even if that limit is self-imposed, but we can comprehend enough of God to heal and be saved, especially since Christ's incarnation and teachings. Job was in an earlier dispensation when less had been revealed, but God reveals more and more of his mysteries over time.

I definitely had @Diana-M in mind when you DM'd me, Rob - I had a feeling you two would click :) She's also a writer, by the way.

Back in 2023 Rob/@theacrobat and I had some interesting discussions about TMS and inflammation and the autoimmune conditions.

I won't be engaging in the spiritual conversation but it's nice to see you back and sharing your latest endeavor, Rob.

Loving reading this discussion, @theacrobat and @Diana-M!

So much of this resonates with me and the deepened relationship with God that has evolved. And, the Divine Grace that has been bestowed = nothing short of miraculous at times.

In any case, will look forward to reading more and appreciate the opportunities to reflect.
