    Br... That's an excellent question! If the med is a anti- depressant, then it may quiet your mind, so you can hear the therapist, remember what the book said, etc.
    If the medication is a tranquilizer, then I am not certain. I think only you would know. if there's a chance you would get well, and recover, than, I would say it's worth a chance.
