    From Question to Ponder:

What TMS-related book, article, or news story have you found the most helpful in solidifying your belief in the diagnosis?

Of course it's always helpful to read about people with similar symptoms who have recovered. So for RSI I found http://podolsky.everybody.org/rsi/ and the links there to be helpful. I wish I could read more about people who've recovered from acid reflux/GERD!

But maybe the most helpful thing overall was reading Alan Gordon's article on reframing the meaning of pain. Here I learned that the hallmark of TMS is obsession and preoccupation with symptoms. And that described me to a tee!

Yes the hallmark is obsession and preoccupation with the pain. When you loose the habit you should start to have huge leaps in your recovery. How have you been doing, I haven't gotten to chat with you in a while. Hit me back pal so we can chat some. Thanks Deepster for giving us your answers, those are some pretty good answers. Love em

    Hi Herbie,

Thanks for your reply. I've been doing well. I'm going back to work soon and facing some (well, a lot of) demons there, but I think it will be very different this time, knowing what I now know about TMS. I've been a bit busy, but I'd like to get back on the weekly call soon.

    Regards,
    Deepster
