Introduction: My name is Hasanna Fletcher, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Soquel, California (near Santa Cruz). I've been personally and professionally involved with TMS for the past ten years.

Number of years in practice: 17

License: California MFC 32328

Number of years in practice with patients who have TMS: 10

Number of patients you have seen who have had TMS: TMS is so wide-spread, that I believe the majority of my patients have had TMS symptoms! However, often people cannot accept the TMS diagnosis. But I've probably worked with 20-30 people who have accepted the diagnosis and have overcome a wide range of TMS symptoms.

What is your association to the TMS community? I'm a member of the Tarpit Yoga Blog (a TMS resource), consult regularly with Dr. Eisendorf about TMS issues, and look forward to being involved in this site.

Have you ever suffered from TMS? I cured my own long-standing back, neck and hip pain 10 years ago after reading Sarno's Healing Back Pain. Unfortunately, I didn't discover TMS in time to avoid two unnecessary shoulder surgeries in both shoulders. It has been so satisfying to help my clients avoid a similar mistake!

Are you able to conduct therapy sessions over the phone? Yes

What insurance plans do you currently accept? I'm not on any preferred provider lists, but some PPO plans will reimburse at a lesser amount.

Do you have a sliding scale of payment for people who are not covered by insurance?Yes.

What have you done to educate yourself about TMS, and what plans do you have for further education about TMS? I've read all of Dr.Sarno's books many times. Also, Dr. Sopher's and Dr. Clarke's books.(I helped arrange a talk that Dr. Clarke will be giving locally next month to a group of doctors and therapists in Santa Cruz.) I work with a local PCP Dr. Bruce Eisendorf who was trained with Dr. Sarno and who refers patients to me.
