The difference between personal conversations and public threads

    Hi, everyone.

    We've gotten some questions about the difference between personal conversations and public threads. Basically:
    • A public thread is part of the forum. It's what we read most of the time on the public forum
    • You can also start personal conversations on the forum. While they look like public forum threads, they are more like email or personal messages (PMs) in that only people who have specifically been added to the conversation can see them.
    In the following video I explain the difference in greater depth and demonstrate the differences and how to use each:
    The video skips about a minute and a half in because I cut some stuff out afterward to protect someone's privacy. (As a peer network, privacy is always a high priority here.)​
