    Question
Hi there. I was recently diagnosed with colitis. I believe there may be a mind/body component. I don't see any success stories from people with IBS or colitis in your forum here. Can you please let me know if TMS truly can be helpful for colitis? Thank you!

    Answer
Unfortunately that's too broad of a diagnosis to know for sure. There are different kinds of colitis. Ulcerative colitis is an autoimmune and though it can be helped with TMS treatment, is not purely psychogenic. Infectious colitis is due to a bacterial or viral infection and should be treated medically.

It's important to discern the underlying cause of the colitis before knowing how best to address it. Many forms of colitis can be improved using a mindbody approach.
