Dry eye success

I have had a bucket load of TMS symptoms and many I am still working through, however dry eye is no longer one of them.

Went to get my annual eye check up today and the doctor mentioned how healthy my eyes are and how, unlike most people my age (later middle age) I do not have dry eye. I was diagnosed with severe dry eye (for which I had very few symptoms at all) about 7 years ago (before I know about TMS). I chose to "treat" it very moderately, since I had few symptoms and not worry about it at all. A year later, another optometrist also diagnosed me with dry eye as did an ophthalmologist two years ago.

There is no trace. My eyes are nice and moist, there is no damage noted (as a matter of fact, my images look perfect, and in the past, there were noticeable irregularities), my eyelids and lashes are perfectly clear.

How did I do it? I followed the advice of Dr. Sarno and learned a variety of TMS techniques and utilized the ones that work for me.

Wonderful, @Cactusflower! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Such a great reminder that things that we might have perceived as permanent, can and do improve!

Hello @Cactusflower great to hear! I was wondering if you still do the “treatments” you did in the past for them or do you no longer need those either?

I never bothered with the "treatments" in the eye doctors office. Everyone suggested something that cost $200 or more for a half hour of either cleaning or heat. I was told the source of dry eye was two different things, and was told the Dr. office treatments were 3-4 different things - each doctor saying the other's treatment didn't work. My bullsh*t meter was in the red!

I only used a cleansing pad (only after makeup) and eye drops twice a day (all of the optometrist recommended the same brand of drops). No cleanser if no makeup. Lay for 10 mins daily with a hot eye pad. I did nothing more at all.

Now I just cleans my eyelids with water (or oil if wearing makeup) daily and use the drops maybe once a month...very occasionally. Just when my eyes feel irritated.
I use the eye pad without heating not as a treatment, but as a lovely little relaxing weight on my eyes when meditating. The idea of using it as a "treatment" also seemed silly given what I was told of the "cause" of dry eye (which was never TMS).

    I still have 0 symptoms.
