Hi, I realized I had TMS 13 years ago when I bought Dr. Sarno's book Healing Back Pain. There were no TMS doctors here then so I am self-diagnosed. I followed the book and got rid of my back pain, with small recurrences when I was seriously stressed, but worked my way through those too.
I'm having trouble with the latest bout that started when my youngest daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer five years ago. She died this year and the TMS has returned big-time and added some new things that have me seriously scared at times. I'm reading all Sarno's books over and over and I have Steve Ozanich's books as well as Dr. Weekes' Hope and Help For Your Nerves, and I'm trying to work my back. Just when I thought I was making headway my subconscious threw another spanner in the works and I've been reading my way through this website for added comfort and hope.
